On-site Security Officer - Medical Based

Reports to: Site Manager
Personnel reporting to this position: none
Responsibilities of a Security Officer may include:

  • Patrol areas of building, parking lot and grounds to protect the human, tangible and property assets at the client hospital, assure patients/employees security and prevent damage to or loss of company and employee/patient property.
  • Assist in maintaining a proper work atmosphere at the site which includes; dealing with disruptive patients or persons coming into the hospital whose conduct could affect the proper functioning of the center. Insure that an environment conducive to a patient care setting is maintained.
  • Assist hospital staff and patients in need of assistance.
  • Promote the client’s vision and mission to staff, patients and the public at large. Be an ambassador for the client hospital and present an exemplary “First Impression'.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding patient/client and employee information.
  • Requirements:

  • 2 years Security experience required
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Up-to-date immunization record; for Rubella, PPD, T-DAP, Hep A, Flu (if candidate does not have one, immunizations will be provided)
  • The ability to deal effectively with disruptive patients or visitors
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of drug test and background checks
  • Valid Driver's License and Clean driving record
  • Completion of all online and on job training
  • Complies with all uniform requirements according to the S88 Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing
  • Ability to learn and use new software efficiently
  • Able to provide proof of ability to work in the United States
  • Ability to deal with internal and external customers and to ensure compliance with fair employment practices
  • Ability to get along with other employees, follow directions, work under stress, and work under austere conditions
  • Ability to conform to established procedures and to help identify and solve problems.
  • Compensation: 

    Depending on experience $15-$19 per hour

    Required education:

    High school or equivalent
