Summary: The Logistics Analyst Advanced requiresexpert ability to lead teams and / or work independently, to solve complex lifecycle logistics problems and develop life cycle logistics policies, plans,procedures and documents. The LogisticsAnalyst Advanced will identify and apply concepts, policies andpractices of logistics management as they apply to new and legacy systemsduring the sustainment phase of the life cycle.
Duties andResponsibilities: Manageand follow published policies and regulations. Performcontinuous process improvement, contract management, acquisition, planning,funding, and management information systems. Establish,develop, update and manage policies, instructions, procedures and strategies inaccordance with statutory, regulatory, and policy processes and procedures. Develop,review, analyze, and validate comprehensive Product Support Strategies. Workas an effective team member and / or team leader to solve complex life cyclelogistics problems in support of Government requirements. Effectivelyuse methods and tools to mitigate risks, including planning for risk, assessingrisk areas and developing risk management options Develop presentations and information papers;research, analyze, and compile data into information, decisional, andinstructional briefings; and develop metrics to track level of effort andprogress in preparation for senior level reviews and updates Effectively and independently presentpresentations and briefings to senior leaders. May be required to provide daily supervision anddirection to support team in compliance with Policies and Procedures andapplicable laws. Otherduties as assigned
MinimumQualifications: (Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.) BA/BS and 10+ years of lifecycle logisticsexperience with experience overseeing day-to-day operations or, AA/AS and 15+ years applicable experience Must possess or attain one of the following certifications within 12 months ofstart date MA/MS in Life Cycle Logistics, Supply ChainManagement, Logistics Engineering, or similar logistics specialty Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Certification Life Cycle Logistics level 3 or Program Management level 3 ProgramManagement Institute Program Management Professional Certification (PMP) Societyof Logistics Engineers Certification Certified Professional Logistician or Demonstrated Master Logistician National Property Management AssociationCertification Certified Property Professional Manager (CPPM) InterimSecret security clearance.
Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities: Abilityto travel 10-20% to CONUS and OCONUS locations. Experiencewith military radars preferred Abilityto work nights, weekends and holidays, as required. Expertknowledge of logistics and life-cycle management principles, concepts,policies, and regulations. Expertknowledge of contractual processes, procedures, and technical requirements asit applies to logistical support. Expertability to meet and deal with customers using a high degree of tact anddiplomacy Expertability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, to include writingand preparing memorandums, letters, briefings and other officialcorrespondence. Expertknowledge and skills in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook,PowerPoint).

The employee will normally work ina temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronicoffice equipment. During visits to areas ofoperations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborneparticles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
